The St. Michael Wrestling program philosophy is to create a team that possesses solid fundamental skills of wrestling, as well as tremendous conditioning and mental toughness. These three areas will be key to accomplishing our goals of creating a championship team and outstanding young men.
Wrestling is the world’s oldest Olympic sport and is a tough and demanding sport. It is the coach's belief that any young man who takes on the sport is extraordinary. It is for this reason that we hold high expectations for our wrestlers. Much as in life, there is nothing deserved in wrestling; the only thing a wrestler deserves is what he/she earns. We want these young men to be respected both on and off of the mat.
