The St. Michael High School boys' and girls' powerlifting teams have been an exciting and ever-growing group of Warriors. Both teams field highly competitive lifters at the district, regional, and state-level competitions. Powerlifting meets attract teams and lifters from all over the state and feature three competitive lifts – the squat, the bench press, and the deadlift. Lifters come in all shapes and sizes, as they compete in 11 different weight classes in both the boys' and girls' competitions. The first St. Michael Powerlifting team was put together in 2000, and the team finished the season as Composite All-Class Champions.
