Chris Sehring signed his college letter of intent to play middle linebacker for Delta State University in Cleveland, MS.
After visiting their campus and meeting coaches, Chris said the decision was easy. “I went on an official visit there a couple weeks ago and I already feel accepted as part of their family. Their academic facilities were great as well as their football facilities. By the end of the visit, I knew that Delta State was the place for me.”
St. Michael head football coach Joey Sanchez, mentions that Chris has proven himself a reputable young man on and off the football field. “Chris is a well-rounded young man and has shown great leadership on and off the field. Delta State is lucky to have him.”
In the classroom Chris maintains a 4.1 GPA while taking multiple duel enrolment and honors courses. “I feel like the college-like courses at St. Michael will put me a step above everyone else when I begin my first semester in the fall,” he explains. This year he was named an All-Academic Athlete by the LHSAA and was elected to the Frist Team All-District.
Chris plans to major in pre-pharm and attend pharmacy school after he graduates. He is excited to strive for success with his new team and looks forward to meeting new people
