St. Michael Announces New Student Council Representatives

Last week, St. Michael High School students voted on new executive board members for the 2018-19 student council. Jacob Finley has been elected the new SMHS student body president. Will Clark has been elected the new student body vice president. Emily Martin will serve as student body secretary. Kennedy Seelbach will serve as student body treasurer. Abby Button will serve as student body parliamentarian. Alyssa Stevison is the new student body historian, and Kaitlyn Landry is the new student body chaplain.

As president, Jacob said he most looks forward to his voice having the power to bring change next school year. “Student council is an important part of our high school because without it, students wouldn’t have a voice for their ideas. I want to make changes that make students enjoy coming to school every day and that make people want to come to St. Michael,” he said.

Vice president, Will Clark said he looks forward to listening to the ideas of students and working with the executive board to make these ideas happen. “I wanted to run for vice president so that I could make the ideas of the students become realities. Often times, people dismiss the impact student representatives can have on the school. I want to utilize every inch of my office position to make SMHS a better school,” he said.
