 St. Michael Wrestling Team Reaches New Heights

The 2017 Wrestling season was a remarkable one for the St. Michael Wrestling Team as they reached new heights that had not been seen since 2011.  The team had three city placers, first year junior wrestler Lukas Kim who placed fourth at 120 lb.  Junior wrestler Dane Harter placed second at 170 lb.  and sophomore Lance Robinson placed 1st at 152 lb and received the distinction of winning the Outstanding Wrestler Award for the City Tournament.  

 Three wrestlers received All-State honors in February when the team traveled to Bossier City for the State Wrestling Championship.  Sophomore Lawson Turner placed fourth at 113 lb, sophomore Lance Robinsion placed fourth at 145 lb. and junior Dane Harter finished second at 170 lb,

 “We are lucky to have such a great group of young men and supportive parents and administration to build the program. The future is bright for the St. Michael the Archangel Wrestling Program.” said  Head Wrestling Coach, Josh Galasso.
