Science Club

The role of the Science Club is to develop student’s lab skills in the field of biotechnology. These lab skills will give the students a major advantage when they enter science classes in collage. The students will learn to use the micropipette, to make agarose gels, extracting DNA, running gel electrophoresis, and running a PCR machine. It is a great club for students that have a high interest in Science and like to learn and master hands-on lab skills.

Science Club uses scientific principles to build objects such as a ballista, to test the frequency of light using the projection of a laser, and to create “self-igniting” cotton ball using nitric and sulfuric acid.

The science club meets the first Wednesday of every month after school.
