Daily Announcement – Monday, October 2, 2017
Ambassadors: This is a reminder that we have a training at lunch today for all Open House Tour Guides. Please bring your lunch to room 101 and be on time.
Teachers, if you have not already done so, please take down your door decorations from last week and thank you everyone for all your spirit of the week. It was a great week and a great event.
Today, we begin our annual Pro-Life Week. The topics we will focus on each day were voted on by members of our club as issues we feel are most relevant to our school community.
Today, we will focus on learning how to help and support those suffering from depression as a way to stand against the tragedy of suicide and for the importance of every individual person’s life.
The Anchor is an ancient Christian symbol of hope in the midst of dark times. Please visit our table at all lunches to decorate an Anchor of Hope for your locker, to remind us all that, in Christ, “Hope does not disappoint!” There will also be information and counselors available in the cafeteria if you or a friend needs to talk or learn more about this very serious issue.
Seniors, on Wednesday during your lunch you will go into the cooking lab instead of the cafeteria. You will be served pizza and hear about your graduation items that need to be purchased. If you want to bring food with you, you may but otherwise we will have pizza for all of you.
Congratulations to the girls Cross Country team for their 4th place finish out of 24 teams at the SJA meet. The boys finished 10th of 37 teams. Rebecca Quebedeaux has set a new school record of 18:38 for 3 miles and finished top 10. Adam Callegan and Hailey Humphries were honored for finishing top 20 of 256 runners.
