Scholarships and Awards
Papa John's Community Scholars Program: http://www.wafb.com/category/202044/papa-johns-scholars-program Amount: $1,000 will be awarded to thirteen different area winners. Deadline: February 13, 2012
Buick Achievers Scholarship Program: http://www.buickachievers.com Amount: Up to $25,000 per year with scholarships renewable for up to four years, plus one additional year for those students entering a qualified five-year engineering program. These scholarships will be awarded to 100 first-time college freshmen or current college students. Additional awards include $2,000 one-time awards for an additional 1,000 students. Deadline: February 29, 2012
Imagine America Foundation Scholarship Program: http://www.imagine-america.org/ Amount: Each year, every high school in the United States and Puerto Rico can select up to five graduating seniors to receive $1,000 Imagine America scholarships for students to pursue their postsecondary education at hundreds of career schools across the United States. Deadline: The current scholarship program for the Class of 2012 runs from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012.
Louisiana State Court of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Scholarship: Please see Mrs. LaBonte, Senior Counselor, to apply. Amount: $200 Deadline: March 1, 2012
George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts 2012 Digital Art Contest: http://www.georgerodriguefoundation.org Amount: $15,000 in college scholarships will be awarded in this competition based on "fully rendered original 3D digital model designs." Deadline: April 13, 2012
Horatio Alger Association Louisiana Scholarship Program: http://www.horatioalger.org/scholarships Amount: Up to $10,500 awarded to students who meet the eligibility criteria which includes critical financial need ($50,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is preferred.) Deadline: April 15, 2012
The Society of Petroleum Engineers: http://www.spe.org/scholarships Scholarships for high school seniors and undergraduates pursuing degrees related to the oil and gas industry.
