School Celebrating 25 Years in Faithful Pursuit of Excellence

Parents and their 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are invited to the St. Michael High School Open House, Wednesday, October 28, from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the school. St. Michael High School is located at 17521 Monitor Avenue in Baton Rouge off of O’Neal Lane in the Shenandoah and White Oak Estates subdivisions.

Come experience all that St. Michael High School has to offer spiritually, academically and personally. The evening features the nationally-ranked Warrior cheerleaders and dance team as well as the award-winning band. The drama club performs vignettes and teachers conduct science and cooking labs, interactive mathematics equations, live historical accounts and more. All extracurricular clubs and sporting teams have current students available to discuss their activities and to visit with prospective students. The evening also offers the opportunity to hear from some of the school’s distinguished alumni including doctors, lawyers, restauranteurs, business owners and executives.

Food and refreshments will be served.

“This evening may offer the first opportunity for some to become acquainted with St. Michael High School,” said Principal Myra T. Patureau. “Some may not be aware that we have a current National Merit Semifinalist and a National Merit Commended Student, 5 AP Scholars from last year, a graduating class from 2009 that received more than $5.9 million in college scholarships, and students that perform more than 20,000 hours of community service annually. By attending Open House, guests will learn that and much more.”
