Home and School is a parent liaison for St. Michael High School. They help in any area that is needed and requested by Administration. They are a key influence for Open House, Grandparents Day, and many other events throughout the year. They are a true asset to our school.

Our next Home & School Board meeting will be Monday, February 6 at 7PM in the teachers lounge. So please join us if you are interested in serving on the board.

Mother Seton Award Nomination:
MOTHER SETON AWARD NOMINATION
The Mother Seton Award is presented annually to honor one individual with the Home and School community who emulates the qualities and service of Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton for whom the award is named. The award is presented to the recipient at the Diocesan Home and School Luncheon to be held March 21, 2012.
The guidelines for this nomination are as follows:
• be a current member of Home and School association. (SMHS parents/guardians are members)
• be a parent, grandparent or guardian
• be recognized as a volunteer, not an employee of the school
Qualifications of the individual must include:
• At least three years of involvement within the local Home and School organization
• Dependable, hard working, self-sacrificing, attuned to the needs of the children and the school
• Enthusiastic, generous, supportive of the educators and the administration
• Concerned and ready to go the extra mile for Catholic education
• A model of living Gospel values

Jan. 31 - Home and School will serve cake for Catholic schools week.
Feb 6 - Home and School meeting in the teachers lounge at 7 PM.
Feb 11 - St. Michael High School auction.
Feb 15 - Serve king cake to the faculty.
Feb 20 to 24 - Mardi Gras break.
March 5 - Home and School meeting in the teachers lounge at 7 PM.
March 21 - Diocesan Home and School luncheon at the Crown Plaza. Arrival time is 11 AM.
March 25 - Grandparents Day from 2 to 4. This event will be on Sunday.
April 6 to 13 - Easter holiday
April 16 - Home and School meeting in the teachers lounge at 7 PM.
April 26 - Home and School will provide dessert to go with the Student Council meal.
April 28 - St. Michael prom at Stage One.
April 29 - Moonlight and Jazz at White Oak Landing.
May 4 - Senior Mother mass.
May 7 - Home and School meeting dinner.
May 16 - Home and School to provide end of the year meal for St. Michael faculty.
May 18 - Graduation 3 PM at the River Center.
May 21 to 24 - Final exams.
June (no date yet) - Used uniform sale. Also this will be our summer meeting to
set dates for the year and prep mail out with raffle tickets.
