GPA, or the "Governor's Program on Abstinence," encourages students who have decided that they would like to abstain from sexual activity until marriage. The club provides information on sexually transmitted diseases (STD's) and the ineffectiveness of condoms and other forms of birth control. GPA promotes the message that the best decision that a teenager can make emotionally, physically, and spiritually, is to wait until marriage to have sexual intercourse.
