For our toy drive, we collected 526 toys for St. Vincent de Paul. The sophomores came in THIRD, freshmen SECOND and seniors FIRST! Regarding home rooms, we had a tie for third place and that was Ms. Rhodes and Mrs. Fell, second place goes to Mrs. Tate and first place is Mrs. Bass. Thank you for all you did to bring some Christmas magic to a child this season.

Students, we want your input regarding the theme for our upcoming Winter Formal dance. Now through Wednesday you can log into your class moodle page and see a description and pictures of the themes, then we want you to vote. Remember, do this by Wednesday at noon.

The latest issue of the school newspaper, The Shield, will be available at all lunch periods. This free student publication is yours if you wish to take it home, but if you do not, please fold it and leave it for the lunch periods that come after yours.

A big thank you to all those that participated in Holly Volleyball. It was a great night, a huge success and lots of fun. Student Council would like to thank Coach Rob Smith and Mrs. Julie Lechich for giving of their time and reffing the games and also thank you to the teachers that came out to help and last but not least a big thanks to all the teams that participated and all the parents that came out to support us. We look forward to next year.

Congratulations to team “All Sets Are Off” for winning the Holly Volleyball tournament and to Kyle Buvens who won the $200 gift card raffle.

The library would like to congratulate Thomas McAlister for winning the “Tell Others About It” contest. Thomas recommends the Time Rider Series if you are looking for a good book for the holidays.

If your team won the review tournament in Ms. Krause’s class, please stop by room 13 during the 15 minute break today to pick up your prize.

Remember to vote on the winter formal theme. Voting will be open until tomorrow after the last exam.

All students are invited to swing by the Campus Ministry office tomorrow after your first exam for a sweet treat.

Congratulations to the Boys Soccer Team on their 5-0 win over Belaire last Friday night. They finished the first half of district play undefeated while scoring 25 goals and allowing 0 in four games. They are currently ranked #5 in the Coaches Poll.

There will be a boys and girls golf meeting Thursday after exams at 11:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. If you have any questions, please see Coach McClure or Coach Lopiparo.

All Star Lanes has dropped off some holiday break passes. You can bowl one free game a day or get $2 off mini golf every day of the winter break. If you would like a coupon or two, please stop by the office to pick them up.

Softball tryouts will be held Monday, January 5 and Tuesday, January 6. If you are interested in trying out for the softball team please contact Coach Saylor.
