Girls Volleyball workouts are cancelled today.

Gentlemen, Tuxedos to Geaux will be back here April 12th if you would like to get measured for a tux.  He said he’d have it back to you before prom.  So mark April 12th in your calendar and come to the library at lunch.

Congratulations to the boys bowling team they advanced to bi-regionals next week.  Andrew Rackley,   Alex Duenckel and Casey Crouch all bowled multiple games over 200.  Congratulations to Casey Crouch who advanced to bi-regionals in the single events.

Congratulations to the powerlifting teams for a great season.  At Regionals, Brianna Alumbaugh placed first and Charrissa Gibson second in their weight class.  At State this past weekend, Brianna placed 4th in her weight class.

This Friday is a dress down day for our Warrior mascot costume.  Pay $3 to wear appropriate jeans, a St. Michael spirit shirt and tennis shoes.  Join in the fun and help us raise money for a new Warrior costume.

Congratulations to the baseball team for their 24-3 win over Tara. The team will play Notre Dame today at 4:00 p.m. at home.


This week is maintenance appreciation week.  The maintenance crew will be receiving lunch from student council today and several of the student council members will be cleaning the lunchroom, so our maintenance crew can have a break today.  During lunch, someone will make an announcement about “appreciation cards”.  If you would like to write a note saying thank you to our maintenance crew, you can pick up a card at lunch or in the front office.

Don’t forget Friday is our dress down fundraiser day.  Bring $3 before or on Friday so that we can raise money for our new mascot outfit.  All who bring $3 can wear a SMHS t-shirt, appropriate jeans and tennis shoes.

Just a reminder, service hours are due next Friday, March 31st.

Congratulations to Sam Dupeire for finishing first yesterday at the City Park golf match. He defeated Catholic of Pointe Coupee and Woodlawn. This was his 4th first place finish this season.


There will be a Beta Club meeting tomorrow morning, at 6:45, in the cafeteria. Come and learn about our Lenten service project.


Thanks to everyone who is participating in our fundraiser for our new mascot costume.  First hour teachers, please collect $3 from each participating student and send the money to the office.

Congratulations to the Lady Warrior Softball Team for their 4-3 victory over Plaquemine. The Lady Warriors are 4-0 in District and in 1st place.  Come out next Tuesday as the Lady Warriors take on Plaquemine at home at 4:00 p.m.

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Track Teams for competing in the BAT Gourrier Relays at Broadmoor High School last night, along with 14 other Varsity squads. SMHS posted many personal best but among the meets top finishers were:

Rachel Lemoine - 1st place 300m hurdles

Sara Lavastida - 3rd place 3200m run

Caitie Brumfield - 3rd place 800m run

Alex Landry - 4th place 3200m run
